Notifications

Overview

The Transaction Tool includes a notification system that keeps you informed about important transaction events and activities requiring your attention. Notifications appear both within the application (in-app notifications) and via email, ensuring you never miss critical updates.

Version Requirement: The in-app notification feature is available in Transaction Tool version 11 and above. For the best experience, version 13 or later is recommended.

Accessing Notifications

In-App Notifications

Select the bell icon in the top-right corner of the application. A notification badge displays the number of unread notifications.

When you have new notifications, the bell icon shows a red badge with the count of pending items. Clicking the bell icon opens the notification panel, which displays all recent notifications.

Email Notifications

Email notifications are sent to your registered email address based on your preferences. You can customize which events trigger email notifications in Settings > Notifications.

For detailed information about configuring email notification preferences, see the Settings Menu documentation.

Notification Types

The Transaction Tool provides different types of notifications depending on the event and your role in the transaction workflow.

Actionable Notifications

Actionable notifications alert you when a transaction requires your immediate attention or action.

When You Receive Actionable Notifications:

  • A transaction requires your signature.

  • A transaction requires your approval or review.

Notification Behavior:

  • The notification remains unread until you view the transaction details.

  • Clicking the notification navigates you directly to the transaction details page.

  • The notification is automatically marked as read once you view the transaction.

Example: "Transaction ready for execution" indicates a transaction in your organization has reached the signature threshold and is ready to be submitted to the network.

Informational Notifications

Informational notifications keep you updated about transaction status changes and completed actions.

When You Receive Informational Notifications:

  • A transaction you created or signed has collected all required signatures (threshold reached).

  • A transaction has been successfully executed.

  • A transaction has been cancelled.

  • A transaction has expired or been archived.

Notification Behavior:

  • The notification is marked as read when you view the notification summary.

  • Clicking the notification navigates you to the relevant transaction view or tab.

Administrative Notifications (Admin only)

Administrative notifications are only visible to users with admin privileges and provide updates about user management activities.

When Admins Receive Administrative Notifications:

  • A newly added user completes registration.

Notification Behavior:

  • Admins receive a notification showing which users have completed registration.

  • Clicking the notification navigates to the user management interface where the registered users are visible.

Notification Grouping

To prevent notification overload, the Transaction Tool intelligently groups related notifications based on:

  • Organization: Notifications are grouped by the organization.

  • Network: Notifications are separated by network (Mainnet, Testnet, Previewnet, Custom).

  • Transaction Type: Similar transaction events are grouped together (e.g., multiple expired transactions).

Clicking on a grouped notification automatically switches your active context (organization and network) and navigates you to the relevant view.
